Walnut Creek Amish Flea Market Returns

Monday, July 27 we had the pleasure of attending a media day and reopening celebration of the newly rebuilt Walnut Creek Amish Flea Market. Local media, staff, and vendors were in attendance to get a tour and watch a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the reopening of one of the area's favorite tour destinations.

Vendors had been working hard at preparing their booths, some in the middle of framing up their booths and others putting on finishing touches and moving in products. All over though, we saw a sense of excitement and hope. Even under their state-mandated face coverings, it was clear everyone was excited to be back. Owner Januery Tango told us all but a few of the original vendors returned, despite many losing everything in last year's fire.

Best Of Ohio's Amish Country also presented the owners of Walnut Creek Amish Flea Market with a check for $5000 raised from our Chocolate For Good campaign selling Coblentz chocolates in a specially branded box to raise money for vendors and those who had lost much in the fire.

It's been a trying time for all of Ohio, but seeing the flea market reopen brings with it a renewed sense of hope in the future and reminds us all to look forward to things getting back to normal. We are pleased to welcome Walnut Creek Amish Flea Market back as one of our area's best attractions and favorite visitor spots.

The flea market's operating hours are Thursday-Saturday 9am-5pm.
